The final countdown...

So it’s nearly time for our Snowdon stampede!! Final preparations have included packing..  Checking the weather forecast...... Ensuring we have enough snacks to keep us going... Plus maybe a little something to help us celebrate after... Plus a little bit of worrying! But mostly we are excited..... We've also had some fun making a motivational playlist..... Our songs include  Walking on Sunshine... I will survive! The only way is up!  And these boots are made for walking! 2 is the magic number!

Two is our magic number as we have just 2 weeks to go before we take on Snowdon Stampede! We had a busy week with our Pyjama party... We all went to work in our pyjama's...  and had lots of cakes including some made from Breakfast cereals... The day was a great success and it really kick started our fundraising so its a massive   From all of us! So  Summer holidays an us all being Busy bees has meant that we haven't managed to get a final group walk arranged!  But we have all tried to keep busy and keep those legs moving! Becky and Sukvinder had a lovely sunny walk near Whitby! Wendy, Bertie and team support Nick had a damp walk in the peak district! And crazy Martha has been building her fitness swimming in a not very inviting looking sea.... a bit more about the why....

So we have just over 8 weeks to go! We did a gentle training  walk in July just round Rivelin Valley just over 4 miles... Need a bit more training for August... Team members were Becky. Lizze and Wendy with support from Lauren and Bertie the border terrier! So we thought we should tell you a little bit more about what we are fund raising for... Amy and Wendy went to visit Alder Hey Children's hospital, and they had the most fantastic piece of kit.... It is basically a 3D interactive TV , it allows children to engage with a game during painful and stressful procedures to help take there minds of it... This would be a perfect addiction to medical daycare Below are a couple of videos from you tube about the system and one of the many games available on the system.. Progress check from Theo! So Theo from The Children's hospital charity  https://www.tchc.org.uk/ checked into medical daycare on Wednesday the 13th  June to check on our progress! He was impressed with all our posters and training! But we are still waiting for our first donation so if you can help..... 3, 2, 1 lift off...

3, 2,1 lift off..... 3 training walks to go...
